It was pretty simple. It was originally a thread holder, but with spray paint, attached ribbon, and nailing it on the closet wall, it became a tie rack. Each wooden post was long enough to comfortably hold two ties. When I nailed it to the wall I decided to slant it a little so the ties would be able to be put on and off with more ease. I thought it also looked better that way.
